Tim Martinez of the Arroyos & Foothill Conservancy (
AFC).
"Sample chia seeds, elderberries, and other native foods along the way! We will discuss the various nutritional, practical, medicinal, and spiritual uses of native plants as they have been used in Southern California for thousands of years."

The Rosemont Preserve (AFC)

Tim Martinez serves as the Outreach Coordinator for the
Arroyo Seco Foundation (ASF), leading hikes and lecturing on the traditional uses of native plants. Martinez is also an AFC board member passionate about preserving Southern California's native habitat for future generations.
All attendees are asked to park at Two Strike Park in La Crescenta and walk into the
preserve (MAP).

Foothill Blvd., turn right to Rosemont Ave., turn left. Located at top of Rosemont Ave., parking at Two
Strike Park, 5107 Rosemont Ave.
