The Real Malcolm X (video)

Smithsonian, 2/18/18; MalcolmsDisciples; NBC/MR; CBS/Levafona Ovi; Eds., Wisdom Quarterly

Now that Black History Month is out of the way, we can continue Black History 24X365. We live not only in a sexist but a racist society, and we have to become aware of our implicit bias (our unconscious prejudice and the fears and double standards we hold). The only solution for it would seem to be the modern insights of Prof. Joy DeGruy and the data and analysis of Prof. Michelle Alexander. Even that may not be enough, so we will persevere until we have fairness and actual equal opportunity for all. Having paid respects to the great Christian peace activist Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in February -- we turn our attention to a heroic American leader, the lesser known, former Muslim Malcolm X.

The Lost Tapes: Malcolm X (full episode)
Presented entirely through speeches, newscasts, and rarely seen archival footage, The Lost Tapes: Malcolm X tells the story of the man who, by any means necessary, willingly put his life at risk to bring change and equality to black America. (From the series: The Lost Tapes: Malcolm X)

(SPECIAL REPORT: CBS News, the year of the L.A. Uprising, 1992) Malcolm X: The Real Story. Calling this show the real story might be the most outrageous TV claim CBS "News" has ever made, hosted by Dan Rather focusing on the aftermath of the police-provoked rebellion in in Los Angeles following the verdict in the Rodney King trial.
